Data Insights is a powerful analytics capability built directly into the Clutch Staff Portal, designed to help Credit Union teams access, explore, and act on their data — without relying on external reporting tools or technical expertise.
With Data Insights, teams can move faster from questions to answers, build confidence in their numbers, and make data-informed decisions across operations, performance, and strategy.
What is Data Insights?
Data Insights gives Credit Union employees direct access to their Clutch data through an intuitive analytics experience embedded in the Staff Portal.
With Data Insights, teams can:
View raw data tables and curated dashboards in one place
Export data in multiple formats (CSV, Excel, and more)
Create new visualizations using existing data fields
Explore trends and metrics without waiting on custom reports
By bringing analytics into the Staff Portal, Data Insights supports Clutch’s broader vision of a centralized operating system for Credit Unions — where insights live alongside the tools teams already use every day.
Note: Data Insights is an add-on module for the Staff Portal and can be implemented independently of other Clutch products.
Why Data Insights Matters
Faster answers, less friction
Teams no longer need to request reports or reconcile numbers across systems. Data Insights enables self-serve access to reliable metrics, so questions can be answered in minutes — not days.
Shared understanding of performance
Using the same underlying data and definitions ensures everyone is working from a consistent source of truth, reducing confusion and misalignment.
Built for scale
As Credit Unions grow, so does the need for flexible reporting. Data Insights helps teams become more data-literate and self-sufficient without adding operational overhead.
What Makes Clutch’s Approach Different?
Embedded where work happens
Unlike standalone BI tools, Data Insights lives directly inside the Staff Portal. This keeps insights contextual, secure, and easy to access.
Customizable — without complexity
Partners can adjust existing dashboards and build new visualizations using available data fields, allowing teams to tailor insights to their needs without managing separate analytics platforms.
Designed for Credit Union use cases
Dashboards are built around real operational and performance questions Credit Unions care about, making insights easier to interpret and act on.
Access & Security
Data Insights is accessed through the Staff Portal’s Analytics page.
Once enabled, users can navigate directly to analytics via:
Because of the sensitive nature of analytics data, Single Sign-On (SSO) is required to use Data Insights.
Data Freshness & Availability
Data is refreshed daily, with updates processed each morning.
Most metrics reflect data as of the prior day rather than real-time.
Some external systems may update on their own schedules, which can affect how recent certain statuses appear.
This approach balances timely insights with system reliability and cost efficiency.
Who Can Use Data Insights?
All Staff Portal users currently have access to Data Insights, including MSRs and Loan Officers.
As the Staff Portal evolves, more granular roles and permissions may be introduced.
Customization & Flexibility
Partners can:
Customize existing dashboards
Create new charts and visualizations using available Clutch data
Export data for offline analysis
At this time, Data Insights supports Clutch data only and does not integrate external data sources.
For teams looking to go deeper, Clutch provides training resources to help users get the most out of their analytics experience.

Implementation Overview
Implementation time depends on whether a Credit Union already has a Staff Portal instance:
Existing Staff Portal: Enablement is quick and typically completed in a short setup window.
New Staff Portal: Implementation includes initial portal setup and SSO configuration and can take up to a couple of weeks.
Your Clutch team will guide you through the process to ensure a smooth rollout.
